Senior Technician, Project and Facilities

The Senior Project & Facilities Technician is a hands-on, cross-functional role supporting facility maintenance, construction projects, and integration/acquisition site assessments across the company's portfolio and at potential incoming practice locations. This role ensures that facilities are safe, functional, and aligned with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance and repair activities across the company's facilities.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of service.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate facility conditions and report issues.
  • Support documentation and tracking of maintenance activities and service records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and disaster response procedures.
  • Assist with internal construction projects, office relocations, and site modifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to meet project deadlines and specifications.
  • Review daily scope of work and provide input on site functionality and layout.
  • Monitor project progress and update stakeholders accordingly.
  • Help with cost tracking and invoice review to keep budgets on target.
  • Perform site condition surveys in person for potential acquisition locations.
  • Assess building conditions (interior/exterior), HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment (e.g., generators), parking, signage, and local area factors.
  • Gather and organize detailed photographic documentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Technical or Vocational Training in facilities maintenance, construction technology, or a related field is highly beneficial
  • Associate degree or coursework in Facilities Management or Construction Management
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities, construction, or project implementation, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and infrastructure
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and site plans
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to conduct site visits during evenings or weekends as required, while maintaining a flexible 40-hour workweek
  • Ability to travel (up to 75%) and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Physical Demands

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.
