The Mgr., Clinical Excellence will support all business units within Mosaic Health and is responsible for overseeing the clinical systems and workflow education for integrations and in-the-field coaching for existing medical practices, improving provider experience on Mosaic Health platforms. The Mgr., Clinical Excellence will be responsible for developing and overseeing the Clinical Excellence Training Team for a specific region, to ensure we meet the needs of newly integrating practices and training requests from existing practices. The Mgr., Clinical Excellence will report to the Director of Clinical Excellence, working closely to collaborate with the Integration, Innovation and Clinical Systems teams to prepare for upcoming tasks and to leverage Mosaic's systems to support our Value Based Programs.
The Mgr., Clinical Excellence will oversee and do on-the-job training, focusing on teaching specific areas of knowledge for clinical, clerical, and provider positions in a medical practice, including healthcare systems (e.g., EHR, telehealth, pre-registration, etc.) and Mosaic's Best Practices to drive medical margin. The Mgr., Clinical Excellence will work with Clinical Applications teams to identify and diagnosis root cause issues to help ensure Mosaic best practice workflows operate as conceptualized. The Mgr., Clinical Excellence will work with their peers and direct team to create new, or provide updates to existing coaching materials, and oversee deployment of content to ensure the successful delivery on behalf of Mosaic Health's various audience groups.
Responsibilities
• Partner with Operational and Integration Leaders for integration preparation, coaching plans and follow up to ensure practices acclimates quickly to Mosaic's best practices.
• Partner with Practice leadership to address coaching needs within the office by scheduling remote or on-site support
• Provides leadership for the clinical excellence training team through coaching and developing based on best practices and newest updates as well as utilizing feedback from peer teams, Practice Managers and Supervisors through tools such as team training or "Train the Trainer" sessions for review and skill assessments.
• Includes feedback regarding provider documentation, BOI, Value based measures and bucket workflows to managers as need.
• Collaborates Subject Matter Experts to align course content and reference materials to ensure they are up to date and in accordance with current best practice workflows
• Utilize various metrics, reports, and discussions to identify and assess specific training needs with the clinical excellence teams
• Supervisor and review data for newly onboarded Practices and schedule staff to work with clinics as needed to assist in meeting goals and utilizing best practices, to assimilate into Mosaic's culture.
• Continual identification of training needs, focusing on value-based programs and patient experience, and works with lead to implement the training
• Works with Business Unit Senior, Operational, & Practice Leadership as well as Departmental Leaders to continually build / update plans to educate regional superusers and keep them current on newest workflows to help their teams maintain Mosaic Best Practices.
• Hold regular work sessions with Quality, Risk & Coding to ensure that we are updated on newest workflows and requirements and to provide any questions / feedback from clinics.
• Conduct regular meetings with practice or care center leadership to provide data and feedback and coordinate any requests.
• Identifies opportunities for workflow improvement, such as operational changes or external developments, that the clinical excellence team could improve, enhancing the provider experience with Mosaic's platforms
• Serves as the energetic mentor that embraces the learning programs, coaching the Clinical Excellence Team on the effective design and implementation of plans for continuous improvement and best practices within the medical offices.
• Works collaboratively to solve problems, identify root cause, improve processes, and integrate services within new medical practices.
• Oversees the troubleshooting of workflows or system training and development of new workflows for projects/systems
• Collaborate with key departments to unify the delivery of best practices to the care team, update team on newest workflows and requirements
• Monitors Athena Bucket cleanup and investigates the buckets and routes/assigns to assure bucket is completed
• Assists Director in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members
• Will travel to all offices as needed in their region including newly acquired practices to observe, coach, validate and improve efficiencies via various training methodologies.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years in a medical practice organization
• Preferred CMA/RMA or LPN
• Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
• Superior Athena experience
• General knowledge of adult learning, education principles and practices
• Well versed in Value Based programs (i.e., HCC, Quality Measures)
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills
• Ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively
• Good collaboration and teamwork skills
• Develop and cultivate a never-ending appetite for learning to broaden your knowledge
• Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage learners
• Creative and problem-solving skills to identify new ways to accommodate the learning needs of contemporary learners
• Provides progress reports and escalates issues to director
• High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies and the willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in teaching
• Ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances as they arise
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to bridge clinical and IT teams effectively.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Physical Demands
• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.
