The Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of key business systems within our healthcare organization. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of enterprise business systems, integration capabilities, and the essential function in supporting administrative and operational processes. The Senior Analyst will serve as a key liaison between IT and business units, leveraging both technical expertise and business acumen to drive system enhancements that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the functional strategy and execution for assigned HCM and ERP business systems, ensuring alignment with business unit needs and organizational goals.
- Analyze, design, configure, test, implement, and maintain systems and applications supporting mobility, total rewards, compensation, benefits, and absence management.
- Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, including user guides, manuals, reports, and workflow diagrams.
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to gather requirements, recommend solutions, and facilitate approvals for project and data change initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned stakeholders to proactively identify issues and provide timely, effective support.
- Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills, engaging effectively with diverse technical and business audiences.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and actively participate in evaluating new system releases and features to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Lead unit and quality assurance testing activities, including test case development, execution, and documentation, contributing to overall test strategy.
- Develop subject matter expertise in key business processes and applications through ongoing training, research, and hands-on experience.
- Conduct root cause analysis of system issues and recommend practical enhancements to improve system performance and user satisfaction.
- Coordinate and contribute to projects involving system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring timely delivery while minimizing operational disruptions.
- Support integration efforts between business systems and other healthcare applications, ensuring seamless data flow, accurate reporting, and compliance with data governance and security standards.
- Manage assigned vendor relationships by monitoring service level agreements, addressing performance issues, and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within cross-functional teams.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA) within all related systems.
- Identify and recommend automation opportunities within HCM systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
- Stay informed on system updates, new features, and industry best practices, proactively suggesting enhancements to maximize platform value.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in business systems, specializing in Workday.
- Certification: Workday HCM, Workday HR, Certified Business Analysis Professional, and/or Professional in Business Analysis, preferred.
- Extensive experience managing and supporting enterprise-level business systems, with deep hands-on expertise in Workday HCM and ADP Payroll/HR systems.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, with an understanding of its unique administrative and operational challenges. Healthcare compliance (e.g., HIPAA training), a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday functional capabilities, configuration options, and best practices.
- Proven track record leading successful implementations, upgrades, and integrations of complex business systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex technical environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences, including leadership.
- Proficiency with data analytics and reporting tools integrated with enterprise business systems.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrated vendor management skills and the ability to foster productive partnerships.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work. Exer ng up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion.
