The Ancillary Lead will support all business units within Mosaic Health and is responsible for overseeing the integration, optimization, and support of ancillary clinical systems. This role ensures that laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other ancillary systems function efficiently and integrate seamlessly with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other healthcare applications. The Ancillary Lead serves as a key liaison between IT, clinical teams, and external vendors to enhance workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and support system improvements.
The Ancillary Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring that ancillary departments have the necessary technology and workflows to operate efficiently. This position requires expertise in healthcare IT, system interoperability, and clinical operations to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of ancillary clinical systems, ensuring
alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other ancillary system
support, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring user adoption.
• Ensure seamless integration of ancillary systems with the EHR, practice management systems, and
other clinical applications.
• Collaborate with clinical, IT, and administrative teams to enhance workflows and improve system efficiency.
• Lead and participate in testing, validation, and system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to
clinical operations.
• Work closely with vendors to manage system enhancements, service agreements, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Develop and provide training programs for end-users on ancillary system functionalities and best practices.
• Support data integrity, security, and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
• Analyze workflow challenges within ancillary services and propose innovative technology-driven
solutions.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the effective use of ancillary systems.
• Monitor and report on system performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide on-site and remote support for system implementations and issue resolution across multiple
locations.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, Clinical Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field (or
equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with ancillary clinical systems (laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, etc.).
• Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability, system integrations, and workflow optimization.
• Experience with EHR systems (Athena experience preferred) and ancillary system interfaces.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and supporting end-users in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, regulatory compliance, and clinical data management.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Physical Demands
• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force

The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
