The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will support all business units within Mosaic Health and is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect an organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role involves working closely with IT teams to develop robust security architectures and solutions, conducting vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents.


Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security architectures and solutions to protect information systems and data.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into system and network designs.
• Develop and implement Security Programs and implement protections such as Data Loss Protection, Identity Access Management, and Application security to strengthen security posture.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
• Monitor security alerts and events using security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, coordinating with internal teams to mitigate threats.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.
• Ensure that security systems are up-to-date and function optimally.
• Ensure compliance with relevant cyber security regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in security audits and assessments to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, incidents, and remediation activities.
• Provide reports and updates to management on security status and ongoing initiatives.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cyber security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated effective implementation of Cyber Security Programs and enterprise security solutions.
• Experience in cyber security engineering, network security, or related discipline.
• Hands-on work experience with security solutions, such as cloud security, vulnerability scanners, endpoint security, SIEM, etc.
• Strong understanding of network and system security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Proficiency with security tools and platforms, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability management tools.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and security automation.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified
Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest cyber security threats, trends, and best practices.
• Understanding of security frameworks and methodologies, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS

Physical Demands

• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close
visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.
