Summary

Supports the Quality/Coding Department through the scheduling of appointments, maintaining audit and quality calendars and assisting with quality/coding projects as needed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains audit schedules, creating Athena rules, sends audit findings to providers and/or Practice Managers, scheduling onsite and online meetings.
  • Schedules re-reviews for reviews that have not met the required threshold for accuracy.
  • Provides clerical support and is also tasked with being the primary point of contact for Medical Record requests.
  • Schedules for outside venders to come onsite to pull records and provides records as needed, maintains pull lists and access information for 3rd party vendors.
  • Maintains all payer data such as spreadsheet, educational information, scorecards and assists with data transfer via portals, fax, claim creation, email, etc.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software; Microsoft Word Processing software, Outlook and ADP Payroll systems. Knowledge of Computers, Fax, Portals, Uploading, Downloading, Athena or other Electronic Medical Record System.
